Ask us to close your DTO app account and delete the personal data we are free to remove. Below is exactly what goes, what stays, and why.

Request deletion
Use whichever is easiest. Include your full name and the phone number you registered with so we can find your account.
You can also ask any Babu Motors staff member at our Najera office, or use Settings → Request Profile Updateinside the DTO app.
How it works
Send us your request
Email, WhatsApp or call us using any of the options above. Tell us you want your DTO app account deleted.
Confirm who you are
Give the full name, phone number and email address you registered with, so we delete the right account and no one else's.
We action it within 30 days
We confirm by email or WhatsApp once your account is closed, and tell you which records we are required to keep.
What we delete
- Your app login and password
- Your profile picture and profile details
- Saved device settings, biometric login and push notification tokens
- Your saved contact preferences
What we must keep
- Loan, lease, wallet and payment records
- Identity details collected for KYC (NIN, guarantor and next-of-kin information)
- Signed agreements, receipts and accounting records
- Vehicle inspection, service and impounding history
Why we keep those records
Babu Motors is a vehicle dealership and leasing company. Ugandan accounting, tax and audit law requires us to keep records of the money you paid us and the agreements you signed, and we cannot delete records tied to a vehicle you have not finished paying for. We keep these for 7 years after your account is settled and closed, then securely delete or anonymise them.
If you still have an active loan, lease or outstanding balance, we will close your app login on request, but the underlying agreement and its records stay in place until the balance is settled.
