2.1 Personal Information

We collect the following personal information when you use our services:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• National ID or Passport number
• Driving permit/license information

We do NOT collect bank details, credit card information, or other financial account information.

2.2 Location Data

We collect and use location data for the following purposes:

• Vehicle Security and Asset Protection: We install GPS tracking devices on leased vehicles to monitor their location for security purposes. This protects both the lessee and Babu Motors from theft and helps recover vehicles in case of theft or security incidents. GPS tracking is active only on the leased vehicle itself, not on your mobile device.

• Customer Discovery: We collect approximate location data from your mobile app to help you discover potential customers in your area.

You can control mobile app location permissions through your device settings. However, disabling location services may limit the customer discovery feature. Note that GPS tracking on leased vehicles is mandatory for security purposes and operates independently of your mobile device permissions.

2.3 Device and Usage Information

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• App usage statistics and interaction patterns
• IP address and mobile network information
• Crash reports and error logs

2.4 Vehicle Information

For leased vehicles, we may collect:

• Vehicle make and model
• GPS tracking data for security purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To process your Drive to Own application, manage your lease agreement, and provide customer support
• Security and Monitoring: To track leased vehicles for security purposes and prevent fraud or theft
• Customer Discovery: To help you discover potential customers in your area
• Communication: To send important updates, payment reminders, and service notifications
• Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and respond to legal requests when required by law
• Improvement: To analyze app usage and improve our services

We keep your information confidential and use it solely for providing our services to you.

4. Data Sharing and Privacy

We do NOT share your personal information with any third parties.

Your data, including location information, remains confidential and is used exclusively by Babu Motors Uganda for the purposes outlined in this policy.

The only exception is when we are legally required to disclose information to law enforcement or government authorities in response to valid legal requests.

Your data is primarily stored and processed in Uganda. If we transfer data internationally, we ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses and security measures.
